Styling a Console Table

Updated: Jun 23, 2022

The entryway is one of the first areas your guests see when they walk into your home and is a space you likely walk by multiple times per day. Typically the room is grounded with a console table and artwork or a mirror. In this case, we used a vintage dresser and added a mirror as well as a small stool so the homeowner has a space to set a workbag or purse at the end of the day.

Favorite styling tips for an entryway:

In any space, my first tip is to always focus on what you love. By incorporating books, a favorite photo, or small piece of art you are immediately giving your guests a sense of your unique style.

Next, add in color or texture. In this case, we added in a textured frame with a family photo and a large vase. A beautiful large planter/vase can do double duty. Not only is it a showstopper when filled to the brim with beautiful blooms, but it also looks great styled all on its own.

Lastly, incorporate small storage solutions to keep the space organized especially if this is your drop zone for everyday items like keys and sunglasses. Here we added a small tray so keys can stay corralled and this hopefully helps to prevent them from getting misplaced.
